WOUND CARE

At Atlas Healthcare at Daughters of Miriam, we understand the importance of specialized wound care for optimal healing. We are proud to have a full-time wound nurse who works in conjunction with our physicians to provide advanced infection prevention measures and advanced wound care.

Our multidisciplinary team takes a holistic approach to wound care, continuously assessing and reassessing existing wounds to develop personalized treatment plans for each patient.

We understand that every wound is unique, and our team carefully tailors the treatment plan to address the specific needs of each individual.

Dr. Jensen from Kane Wound Care rounds on a weekly basis to assess and monitor the progress of our patients’ wounds. During these rounds, we closely examine each wound, evaluate its healing progress, and make necessary adjustments to the treatment plan. This allows us to stay ahead of any potential complications, address concerns promptly, and continuously optimize the healing process. As part of our comprehensive wound care services, we offer a range of advanced treatment protocols.

In addition to specialized wound care, we are equipped to address other concurrent conditions that may affect the healing process. Our multidisciplinary team collaborates to ensure comprehensive care for our patients, considering all aspects of their overall health and well-being.

At Daughters of Miriam, we are dedicated to providing compassionate and effective wound care. Our goal is to promote healing, prevent complications, and improve the quality of life for our patients. We prioritize ongoing communication and education, working closely with patients and their families to ensure they understand their treatment plan and can actively participate in the healing process.

We treat a wide array of complex wounds including:

  • Surgical wounds
  • Pressure sores
  • Vascular wounds &ulcers

I’m very happy with Daughters of Miriam!!! My mother is there for 6 years. She turned 98 years old on Saturday and fortunately has a good mind and has had good health. She was sick yesterday and they acted quickly. It turned out to be double pneumonia! She looks a lot better today than yesterday. I am very grateful! In February, she had pneumonia and was better in 5 days thanks to their good care!

My father stayed at Daughters of Miriam after having his knee replacement surgery in January and to be completely honest, the facilities are great. He stayed on the second floor and the staff was really good to him, and the nurses and therapists helped him in any which way they could too. I would absolutely give Daughters of Miriam Center an A+.

My grandfather is currently living at Daughters of Miriam Center and they have been so good to him. The therapists have worked really hard to get him where he is today with his walking. I am so grateful to them and I know that he is too.
