We want our residents to experience the best that life has to offer. That is why we make every effort to ensure our residents’ comfort and satisfaction. Here, at Atlas Healthcare at Daughers of Miriam, are are all part of one family.
I am neither of the Jewish faith nor elderly. The establishment accepted my straight Medicaid when I had nowhere else to go, which I am grateful for. I learned a lot about kosher meals, which I knew nothing about previously – so it was a learning experience too!
Maria, Janice, Candice and Nurse Liz and Aliya are awesome. There was overnight aid that took great care of me – she checked in on me when if I didn’t buzz her and refilled my water pitchers before I even asked. Her name slips my mind but she is amazing. The others were hit or miss but if I ever had an issue with an aid, the nurse made sure they weren’t assigned to me or asked someone else to help me.
PTs are awesome. I was using a cane when I left but I no longer need it. OT is good too. I just wish I had more sessions. with them and longer but Medicaid only pays for a limited amount. I also did notice they are very caring and patient with the elderly patients and I got to play Bingo with them! That was a plus.
We encountered a pleasant atmosphere in a spic-and-span community room that is elegantly furnished with polished floors and clean, clean, clean everywhere. The building is lovely and it smells good. It has security features that reassure us that our loved ones are safe and protected.
I love this place because everyone is friendly, the manager Ho, the director is incredible, I am amazed at how she treats you with respect and delicacy, she cares about the well-being of the patients and the nurses are all a sweetheart, better said, I am left without words to describe it well. I give it up to 20 stars and those who assist me are very kind and delicate. I love them all, doctors and doctors. If it were for me I would stay living in this place.
My mom was treated with such care and compassion that it eased my mind. The entire staff was friendly and professional. Dr Porter and nurses were very attentive to my mom’s needs. The aides were angels, with a special thank you to Erica and Helena.
I write this review with so much gratitude, so much sincerity, and so much respect. My mother was admitted to this facility in March and she spent her last months, weeks, days and hours here. She passed away yesterday morning with dignity and compassion. Words alone cannot fully explain and/or capture how much gratitude I have for the care and detail to a human soul – my mother. The staff were beyond caring, compassionate, kind, loving, present, available and professional. They made my mother’s last moments special in every sense of the word. They treated her with respect and dignity. They comforted her and our extended family throughout this process. They were patient, kind and generous. Everyone from the director, Maria in the business office, the director of social work, the physical therapist, Tyler, and his co-therapist, OT, speech therapist, Isabella, the nurses, especially Shadae, the aides were like angels along our path to guide my mother back to her heavenly home. Tyler, thank you for making my mother laugh on days when she could barely lift her head. Her smile when you asked her to dance will live in my memory for her. Isabella, thank you for your gentleness, care, compassion and attention to detail. Shadae – thank you for treating my mother with dignity and respect every single day. The aides kept my mother looking clean and beautiful, every single day. The care was consistent. Thank you so very much. A special thanks to Chris – the assistant director of nursing. Thank you so very much for caring, for being patient, for understanding and not judging the family dynamic, for your words of comfort, for your sense of humor, your insight, for answering all of my silly questions and your thoughtfulness. I am eternally grateful for all of you.
With many thanks and eternal gratitude,
My wife was here for rehab for 3 weeks and the attention of all staff was wonderful! Would recommend this place to everyone.
I was here for therapy for almost 8 weeks and I am very satisfied with all the care received by the nursing team. Special thank you to Eva for always going above and beyond, she is an angel sent from above. Thank you to everyone who took care of me.
I was here for 2 weeks for rehab and everything was very good. The therapist who treated me were amazing and helped my recovery. The nursing team was amazing. My aid Dakyrah was great with me. Eva was very knowledgeable and cared about how I was coming along and would always came to see me. Social Kirsten was also great.
I have been at Daughters of Miriam for 6 months. If you are looking for a facility to help nurse your loved ones back to health I would strongly recommend Daughters of Miriam. My experience here was nothing but great.
I’d like to take this opportunity to review the care that my mother has been receiving at your sub-acute care facility. I’d like to say that as a nurse, I have been acutely aware of the skill and dedication of your staff as I am there every day for at least six hours.
The care that my mother has been receiving is exemplary. Everyone that she and I have been in contact with has shown compassion and patience beyond what I would have ever expected. They treat her with respect and dignity. In addition to the kindness they show, their level of competence and compassion is remarkable; the two cornerstones of what I feel is basic in best practice nursing. Everyone from the unit clerks, housekeeping, nurse’s aides, physical therapists, occupational therapist, social worker, speech therapist and psychiatric nurse practitioner have been extraordinary.
I am so grateful to the entire staff of 1 West for making this very difficult situation a little more bearable. We are gaining knowledge and insight into her condition every day as the staff has been sharing their experiences with us. In addition to the excellent care, I’d like to recognize several people who have gone above and beyond our expectations. I’d like to thank Lori, Assistant Director of Nursing, for her coordination of care and Nurse Practitioners –Teresa and Esther for their diligent and responsive adjustments to the nursing care plan.
I am appreciative to all the RNs, Brittany, Mohammed, Cleo and Lisa who’ve been helpful with explaining medications and changes in her status. I’d like to thank 3pm-11pm nurse’s aide Janice for being with my mom at a difficult time of day. My most heartfelt thanks to the 7am-3pm nurse’s aide,Yenesia, who helps my mom every day with her bathing and personal needs. I stand in awe of her patience. She has taught me more about my mom’s condition than I could ever learn in a textbook. And, as always, she shows my mom so much respect and maintains her dignity at every turn.
I’ve been a nurse for 45 years, both bedside and as an administrator. Daughters of Miriam should be proud of these women who day in and day out, represent Atlas Rehabilitation/Daughters of Miriam to the highest level.
I’m not familiar with other rehabilitation facilities but deciding on Atlas Rehab DOM in Clifton was one of the best decisions my family made. 3 months ago we had to decide on a rehabilitation facility so after reading reviews, we decided to place my Mom here. She had Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and lost weight and strength. The 1st floor East division of Atlas DOM went above and beyond in providing 24 hour/ day care for my mom. Her rehabilitation was not only physical but mental as well. The staff tended to my mom’s requests and communicated with us not daily but hourly if needed. Headed by Rachel MacLang, 1st floor East is where you want your loved one to be. Her staff (night/ day/weekend) built relationships not only with my mom but with my family. Recommend Atlas Daughters of Miriam highly!!!
We decided on Daughters of Miriam as a rehab facility for our mother at the recommendation of the hospital’s case manager and because of the proximity to her home, and we are not regretting it! Everyone is doing a great job caring for her and working hard to get her to the point where she is ready to go home. From the doctors, nurses, nurse assistants, nurse managers, physical and occupational therapists, cleaning personnel, to admin and social workers everyone is very nice and competent. Thank you for the work you are doing!
I had an excellent experience at daughters of Miriam! The care was amazing from nurses to rehab to concierge services were all really amazing. I would definitely recommend it to all!!
